They’re being so dramatic about it though.
I’ve never really thought about that but if a system could be devised where backbench MPs still needed to spend a majority of their time in Westminster then I think it could work. Also remote voting for exceptional circumstances would be helpful

I don’t think they should completely disregard remote voting. For MPs who cannot attend Westminster say if any of them become ill or heavily pregnant for example I’d just like to see everyone back in the house.

Yes definitely, I just think it’ll only work if the number of situations it’s allowed in were limited. Illness and pregnancy should of course be on the list, but I fear if it’s too flexible, MP’s would apply for remote voting because they have other plans back home haha
