It's an interesting interpretation but i thought Tolkien's mythology was based on norse religion.

It's actually based upon the influences of Anglo Saxon England and the Celtic Britons. The kingdom of Rohan is influenced by the kingdom of Mercia and the elvish language is influenced by the Welsh language.
