As a retired clinically trained social worker in my youth and having had three sons. You are 100% correct. I have a young one in grade 1 and can’t believe how weak the parents I meet are. Fucking laughable

Those parents have no clue that their thinking is bass ackwards. Kids need discipline, and will appreciate it for the rest of their lives. The parents need to live with the discomfort of being "hated" for a few years - maybe - but they should know that the payoff will be huge!

The truth is kids of flakey permissive liberal parents and kids of strict disciplined Conservative parents will tend to turn out the same way no matter what since personality and choice of vocation are primarily determined by genetics.
