Historically Biblical study involved A reading of the text. Using various interpretations.And in as many language as possible. Then try and gain a cultural understanding of the people who created the original oration.I would assume the field you are trained in, Is similar?

Great article. Gets it right. Dr. Peterson does tons of good, but his his criticisms of Christianity stem from Protestant thinking. Kinda ironic, for ex., that, contra the idea that Christians are indifferent to this life, Prots (wrongly) accuse Catholics of "faith by works."
