Women control the market, terms of consensual sex, and marriages. Oh no, men EARN more money, because men work more hours at tougher jobs. That's probably because men will have sex with a woman with no income, but no one woman wants a scrub.

Bias against women/girls has made it much harder for women to get that license than it is for a male. These biases are both overt and subtle and ingrained in the patriarchal worldview.

I used to think this was just an American thing (constantly lamenting our positions in life, eschewing responsibility, and blaming our problems on other people), but after being plugged in to Twitter and Youtube for a few years, I can see it's obviously spreading like wildfire.
