Nobody knows the rules...this is true in the workplace. From an Islamic perspective we have clear rules for Male/female interaction in public space and even dress. Muslim women wear a sort of uniform in spaces where non-related men are, which is what the hijab essentially is.
-
Also it is forbidden for us to be in complete seclusion with the opposite sex. We also believe touch is sacred so do not make physical contact with the opp sex in interactions. Interactions are to be kept formal & businesslike...no flirting.

Focusing on makeup might have been a tactical error. Makeup has various social contexts/purposes. Plungy necklines, though? Solid ground.

Heels and makeup are worn by most women because of the socialization not because they're ''calling for mates''. Women are expected to wear it and be pretty because they've been considered passive objects of male sexual desire. Men could wear makeup as well and it's attractive
-
I meant to say that makeup is not a sex-based thing and men can be more attractive to women by wearing makeup but they don't cause makeup and sexualized clothing are imposed on women cause of historical perception of women as passive objects of male sexual desire
