There is no intrinsic reward associated with accepting personal responsibility. Being held accountable for your choices/actions isfire that forges the steel of good character. But fire is hot and it burns; it’s far more comfortable to lob the red hot coal over to the next guy.

You can't blame people for clinging to safety nets though. That's just evolutionary. Of course people will lean towards the paths that benefit them and only them. What we can do is incentivize the sustainable long-term solutions.

Hillary does like to take responsibility for things while avoiding fault. So you nailed that one.
