Also, you say gun legislation won't help, but then go on to speculate that shootings are the result of a "rough and ready attitude towards guns", which one can assume might have at least a wee bit to do with access to guns.

Dr. Peterson, Texan here (excited about May 30th!) I disagree with your statement on guns. Texans have generationally seen their guns as the ultimate safety net. The thing to turn to when all else fails. That was ugly when a 6 shot revolver was norm. AR-15s are now the norm...
