Why isn't it a legal requirement for publicly-funded universities to track their graduates' performance and publish salary by year per discipline? How can it be that we don't gather and provide this information?

Graduates in the UK are tracked by the industry sector they go in to and at what level. Obviously no names are published but my local uni's publish this info. Is it a Canada/USA thing?

Law schools in the US did this and it became a liability bc admissions departments manipulated the data resulting in litigation.
