Hurray for extremism. Are you supporting this view too, Doctor, or merely sending it blithely into Twitterland??

What's extreme here? Are you referring to the title of the book?

When does cyberbullying leave the realm of free speech and when should it be charged as a criminal offence? Or should cyberbullying fall under the protection of free speech always? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Our kids shouldn’t even be on social media. It is a vulnerable enough time in their lives without the added exposure to the rigours of vast public opinion. My kids do fine without it, and the government has enough power. It’s not up to them to replace the role of parents/mentors

It's definitly not a myth but yes there is a propensity for doctors to over-diagnose.

I think "Insanity" was his best book. It felt as though it was written for a general audience.

I’m taking a test for work (I’m a psych nurse). As I remember, Szasz also had much to say about involuntary commitment. This was written by my leftist Nurse Manager. Chilling. The Soviets would heartily agree with this statement.pic.twitter.com/tq1fmGaHA5

Most are missing the nuance, he’s only saying the illness description is inaccurate: “While I have argued that mental illnesses do not exist, I obviously did not imply that the social and psychological occurrences to which this label is currently being attached also do not exist”

Thank you for addressing the nuance. I think that's what a lot of people are missing. He's not belittling any category of problems, just trying to provide clearer ways to describe and categorize them.
