Vox seems to be talking about firearms homicides, but that is misleading because one should look at overall homicide rates. Focusing on the method obfuscates the causal relationship between firearms and homicide.

Yes, it's amazing the narratives you can spin when you cherry pick and manipulate statistics. "Gun deaths" vs "Gun violence" vs "Gun homicides" totally interchangeable right?, and of course make sure you hand pick WHICH countries etc. get included.
