United States single mothers are worse off in terms of poverty rates within the developed world. Including transfer payments it's something like 50% still live in poverty and 80% work at least 30 hours a week. >poverty mothers have few if any transfers but see neg wage outcomes.

US has least amount of paid maternity leave, least amount of health care coverage (including least amount of affordable contraceptive coverage) least amount of subsidized child care in developed world as well. I was more referring towards types of jobs, edu, nursing, social work

I don't disagree that there could be justifications to differential monetary value in wages b/w jobs. This a multilayered cake. Surface is Wage Gap, then under is JP's framework but still more layers to analyze. I want to see the convo move forward rather than surface refutations
