'Vice-signaling' is just another example of how unoriginal they are. They can't find a good way of describing opponent behavior besides taking the concept of virtue signaling and spinning it to malign. At least 'virtue-signaling' assumes good intent.

Thank you for saying so. I've read a few thousand scientific articles over many fields and find the substantial majority of soft science papers to be flawed in basic ways. There is a point at which people with understanding of statistics take control of the mess.
