Many workplaces discourage relationships between colleagues, for practical reasons. If they split up, the office atmosphere can be uncomfortable for everyone. At a bank I worked for, it was usual to move one of the couple to a different branch (also relatives, never in same).

I agree with @CathyYoung63 in principle, but am keeping an open mind to the response, which is that the #MeToo movement is not anti-flirtation, but anti-coercive or otherwise objectionable/inappropriate sexualization. More time to see how this all shakes out?
