Minimum wage in Australia is higher, and often waiters/servers do not get tipped. Owners have to actually pay the salaries instead of customers. Strange that millions of poor are not starving to death in Australia, even with higher minimum wages.

Would further lowering the minimum wage make it easier for the "poor" owners? Should we abolish minimum wages altogether, or perhaps are minimum wage politics more complicated/nuanced than this tweet or the single example cited?
