Only if they were happy with their marriage in the first place? A job makes it easier for a woman(or man) to leave a bad situation. A homemaker with no money or marketable skills can end up trapped.

I suggest that working mothers are less happy because they are working full-time, yet still bear the far greater burden of parenting and household duties.

I suggest that even if the Father takes on the bulk of the duties at home that the working mother is still less happy.

Wait, does that mean mothers with shitty jobs should keep them? Because that's definitely the opposite of what I would have assumed. Though it also depends on what they mean by 'higher quality.' If that means, on average, 'more hours worked,' then we have a no shit situation.
