Wonderful book. One of the few I keep around to re-read from time to time. Also recommend "Guns, Germs and Steel".

There's large amounts of uninhabited land. If anyone were serious about succeeding economically, it could be used to try out various systems. Mine would have no taxation and thus no shortage of volunteers.
