Men and women both have ambitions to achieve goals as can be demonstrated by the fact women out achieve men in academia. Men are more driven to have or possess things such as status, power, wealth as can be demonstrated by any rich list. On average, to avoid confusion.

It's a matter of choice, not ambition. Most, if not all, of these companies are desperate to hire women in the stem fields to increase diversity. It's surprising not to see more women working for these degrees instead gender studies or other social degrees, but it's their choice

Well they should be desperate to hire the most qualified I agree. I'm just speaking of the reality that they are much more likely to hire qualified women for the mere sake of virtue signalling especially leftist companies like Google or Facebook etc

If someone told me my drive for socioeconomic status wasn't very high I'd definitely take that as a compliment. I've been asked why I haven't gone into more lucrative fields before and I always think why would I want to be a slave to those kind of jobs.

I know my choices have lead me to not earn nearly as much as I could but to me money isn't worth the type of lifestyle you need to succeed in those types of careers.
