For crying out loud how about ditching the rubbish information and ensuring basic literacy and numeracy skills. Far too many current students leave school functionally illiterate. Observed first hand at University how bad this is.

Pretty bad. I felt like I was repeating High School. (Secondary school for you???) They had classes for people who needed to catch up to all the 101 classes (as far as reading, writing, and math.)
