I learned as much about diplomacy and debate as I did science at uni through difficult dialogues. Such a disservice to students if lost.

It appears he continued his education in an unconfined fashion. The school of hard knocks has some pretty good lessons in it.

I'd totally send my child. Have them rock the boat, and shake things up. Not everyone is interested in STEM fields and other options should be available.
