Would make a really interesting study to see what effect this early "transition" has in later life - do they regret doing it so early, does it reduce suicide rates etc.

I’d bet post-transition regret is underreported- both for the reasons the writer mentions & bc they’ve gone through this huge odyssey to transition, if they are unhappy in their new form they don’t want to seem ungrateful. But studying such would be condemned as transphobic
