It's not about race, it's about not wanting the values, culture and history our ancestors fought for to be erased. Does this make me a nazi? Does this mean I have hate people? I wouldn't wish having one's history erased on anyone, no one deserves that.

The more someone has accomplished individually, the more they identify as an individual. Don't diminish their success by attaching it to a group they happen to belong to.
