I sent all my kids to Catholic Schools where teachers are actually more enlightened than the public school system. Who would imagine that?

I have switched my property taxes and am now supporting the Catholic system. Never in a million years would I have thought the Catholic system would become so far superior to the public.

"Revalorize the trades," as Paglia's said. Stop pressuring everyone into university (a lot of the problems come from those who can't keep up academically & have to blame someone for it). Have a protectionist trade policy so factories exist to work at. Stop importing cheap labor.

Have a one-time moratorium on student loans (if they can bail out the banks, they can bail out the kids), then get government OUT of the student loan business, which drives up tuition.

Eliminate half of college admins, all "diversity workers," and end altogether the women's/ethnic studies programs. Videotape all college lectures and put them on the web so parents/potential students can see what's going on. Build that website, Dr. Peterson!

I think we all have to accept that 'higher learning' is no longer an appropriate description of the average college experience and should be retired, at least until Hercules has had a chance to use a few navigable rivers to muck out the PoMo manure from the university stables.
