If you wanted to, you have the resources to research this issue, to explore the nature and extent of it, to develop quantitative and qualitative assessments. Give it a serious look and rigorous, honest assment. Why not do that?
It's already been done. Check out Jonathan Haidt's Heterodox Academy. The left is radically over-represented in the humanities and social sciences.
