Looks interesting, I'll give it a read for sure. As someone who is being treated for ADHD and Major Depressive Disorder, I've been studying the idea of "neurodiversity as a social strength" with mixed results. I'm not too sure I'd call my unmedicated ADHD and Depression a "gift."

Now, of course there's the traditionalist Catholic idea that "mental illness" is just a namby-pamby pop-culture phrase for "living in sin." A mindset which persisted even to the mi-20th Century and Vatican II.
