both are fraught with their own unique pitfalls. Sexual non monogamy also needs many many 'rules' to be fine right, which increases 1/2

2/2 rather than decreases chances of betrayal (compared to monogamy)

Polyamory also can suffer from cruel heirarchies due to human beings innate desire to pair bond, and because even if you believe love is 1/2

2/2 infinite, time is not.

Agree/ betrayal is always emotional in nature. And the more rules you have (don't let feelings happen etc) the more chances of breaking them

Yeah all good questions. I've never tried it. Maybe one day if I give up some hobbies and my job (time).
