this is interesting because a lot of the leadership theory being taught now is built around emotional intelligence. Some concepts taught are useful, but I wonder how much of this is designed to be more inclusive of "agreeable people" into leadership roles

It's probably because we're not allowing low agreeable leaders to lead, especially in high visibility or politically connected positions.

As an autist, emotional intelligence to me just represents an esteemed degree of irrationality.

Not to mention that humans are not capable of actual empathy, only sympathy, and believing that they ARE being truly empathetic leads people down MANY of the false paths we see. You don't ACTUALLY feel or know what that other person does, it's physiologically impossible.

I see it as knowing when others are up to something as well and you might want to wait before commenting and seeing the issues and consequences unfold, not mostly empathy at all

The irony of agreeableness is that as the level of agreeableness increases in a group, the only thing that will enrage it is people who are disagreeable.

Mr Peterson, what do you think about these LinkedIn coaches talking about entrepreneurship, and this philosophy of "follow your dreams" "you deserve everything". And what do you think about Franckfurt School in corporate businesses.

Dreams are over rated. Most innovation, most productivity comes from grunt work. Nobody dreams of stress, tiredness, pressure etc.
