Because you’re Canadian, you’re probably not aware that as diversity increases in the US Military, so does retention. The armed services really want to retain people because we keep peace with knowledge and experience. So, in this case (like most actually), diversity is strength.

Retention alone cannot be used as a proxy measure for strength. Nor have you taken the time identify confounding variables in the measurements you’re intending to use as proxy measures for strength. In short, your confirmation bias is showing.
