This could not be designed to more efficiently dishearten & cripple stalwart researchers. Imagine devoting your life to engineering research & having your work rejected by resentful ideology-possessed tyrant wannabes. We are best punished for our virtues. You appalling miscreantshttps://twitter.com/jordanbpeterson/status/1457090785460072448 …

The grant applicant's DIE statement and its rejection (reverse order). By the way, the applicant is a BIPOC (use of such hated terminology unfortunately relevant here)! Canadians: your fed gov't in action. This is how we fund (or don't) basic research. Appalling. Inexcusable. https://twitter.com/jordanbpeterson/status/1457031739088547848 … pic.twitter.com/prEeV45NDQ

The ideological subjection of the intelligent by the intolerant simply cant last forever. Eventually, there will be no more witches to burn and plenty of shit to get done.

Sometimes I wonder... Would our present world of inequality be suddenly less tragic if the inequality weren't correlated with race or gender or what-have-you?

What happened to the days when prospective employers weren't allowed to ask any personal questions? They could only ask about your qualifications for the job and assess your willingness to go the extra mile (sorry, that's a Christian allusion, shouldn't have let that in).

Because they weren't allowed to discriminate on the basis of age, race, religion, sex etc.

Q: Is that the statement from the grant application? Researchers in Australia spend months filling them in to get funding. It’s required for information to be presented in certain ways. It’s nuts but required since (largely conservative) govts require everything be justified.

This is like telling the engineer at the front of the train he's been driving long enough and its time to let one of the passengers take a turn.
