And we can't merely say "this is the best we can do under the circumstances " as scientists when our conclusions are used to drive policy. What's worse than ignorance? Premature and unreliable conclusions wearing the mantle of scientific fact.

what do you mean by 'it worked'? considering the timeframe isn't it too early from a policy standpoint to draw such a conclusion?
You already told people to "get the damned vaccine." If you can endorse 2 doses, why not endorse a 3rd, a 4th etc? If they decline it then they took a risky gene therapy for nothing. They'll be reduced to the same outcast status as those of us who never took a single dose.
