The idea that genes are in control one day will plague the earth. If the individual does not have any control over their own life, then someone else will take it.
If you are competent, you would know not to fix things that are not broken... In the field I enjoy, I break, gut, demolish, upgrade, replace, and build new. Breaking and fixing things. One usually takes more skill than the other, but are equally important.
