The leaders know about this logic and they think it's a good thing. It is the dialectic they describe in some of their papers. Ever smaller communities bring forth their misrecognition within larger communities to the ultimate hegelian end of the perfect state.

That's actually why they call it "critical" (from hegelian german "necessity") theory. Since they gave up on making positive claims about Utopia (Adorno's negative dialectic or negative philosophy, also characterizing postmodernism), smalle groups complaining is all they have.
