Environmentalists won't allow it, the government is switching a lot to solar slowly but we still need Coal. What stage US and UK were at 150 years ago is us now, we need alot of cheap energy to develop

Post-modernism leaders are trying so hard to devalue Coal so that countries with more resources than them start relying on Western countries for energy.

Cheap power is required for economically backward countries. Coal is still world's cheapest source of electricity. Unless we change economic incentive, coal shall be the primary source of power.

For decades, Western countries benefited from cheap power now they are trying to preach others. It's akin to USA being the only country to having used ATOMIC bomb and having largest arsenal, advocating "Non proliferation" of Nuclear weapons.

If the solar physicists actually determine that our sun is in fact displaying a “cooling” trend-as they have been saying… We are gonna need all the coal we can find to stay warm….

The transition to clean(er) coal energy production is more realistic for countries like India. Renewables will take off too, in a country where the power grid was notoriously unreliable in the past.
