I wouldn’t classify myself as a conservative, but I value their points of view and agree with Haidt’s position that it’s a tragedy that their absence has created such an echo chamber in the field. I’ve witnessed condemnation for the even slightest dissent in my classes.

If only people treated general academia and the educational realm as the level playing field it should be, where everyone should have their voice considered and debates should consist of nothing but logic, proof, and reason...and most of all the ability to admit one's fallacies.

They've clearly written off academia to chase the almighty dollar. Academia welcomes their debates and the pursuit for middle ground . None of it holds up under serious scrutiny is the issue
