You're better at something than I am, and I am better at something than you are. We add in the monetary aspect of the trade, and it works out rather well as we trade between one another.

Makes sense. However, in the current environment, we are told we need to make amends the sins of our society’s past and overcompensate for inferior or unearned skills and intellect.

This! Same reason that diffirent individual deserve different grade of compensation/ salary even though they might have the same job title! Highly capable person will likely to form their own career/ work to reach higher potential

You are right. The problem seems to be that very many would like to be equal with the better off without either having the capacity or the willingness. Their solution is redistribution.

I’m only 5’1”. Maybe 5’3” with my shoes on. I’m pretty sure there are people who can reach higher shelves then me. I demand they buy me step ladders for equality!
