It's a pretty good reason but I'm a bit sceptic.. Spirituality (~"new type of energy to ignite the souls of men") is one thing, but functionally I'm not aware of anything that can't be solved with fission.

For the foreseeable future miniaturization, getting more emission free power in more places cheaper, is probably #1 problem and fusion is a huge step backwards.

If they cared about climate change they would adopt nuclear energy with just fission... The waste is not even a big deal.

I'd mention, that at least here in the states, solar is much cheaper. The only way nuclear gets cheaper is if all the crazy restrictions are dropped, which is unlikely unless we want easier access to nuclear weapons. Perhaps Thorium?
