All i know is that as a german you get it drummed into you from an early age, in school media everywhere. This makes it difficult to have an objective view on a subject later in life.

Kids will notice anything different. eg, Big Nose, glasses, anything and they will fixate on this. A different colour skin is just something else they will notice as a difference. Kids are not racist, they just notice differences, and they all react differently to them

I am no great intellect Dave but if social modelling is the issue why have we not fixed it after thousands of years. I would suggest there is a flaw in humanity that starts when we are born. Selfishness comes naturally and we have to teach respect. One man's opinion.
