British Universities aren't much better, the education system is just falling apart. God knows what it will be like another 3 generations from now.
Universities were hijacked by people that can't work anywhere else. Overtaking academia and using it as a megaphone for their crazy views was their only viable strategy.
I studied a bachelor's and master's degree in the Humanities. It is sad that I cannot recommend people to do the same. You'll earn substantially less for your work, if you manage to have a career in the field at all. Study them on your free time & get a degree on something else.
Sometimes the fact that you can finish the courses you started is enough to prove that you can do many other things well. Often successful people end up having careers that have little to do with their actual degrees.
Stephen is correct about Christianity. I am a follower of Christ, and I have seen that with few exceptions, the church of today is not of God's design. There is no honest and diligent Spirit-led discipleship and no demonstration of walking in the Spirit of Christ among the clergy
