Exactly what I thought when watching this. A single parent home which is loving, secure and stable has got to be a lot better than an unstable, unpredictable, stressful 2 parent home. I tried to make it work for so long but in the end the alcoholic, coke user had to go.

Glaringly absent from this analysis (or maybe it's somewhere in the extended clip) is that children are likely NOT thriving in households in which 2 unhappy parents are forced by law to continue cohabitating.

This clip doesn't really say anything at all. To me children growing up witnessing a bad marriage is far more damaging than growing up splitting time between parents.
