Otherwise known as altruistic behaviour. A known stregy where supposedly acts directed away from self-interest also serve self-interest or realisation in he linger term.

Thank you Dr Peterson again for asking the right questions. It’s not about knowing the right answers in life, it’s about knowing the right questions to ask. I believe the most courageous question we can ask ourselves is ‘What am I in self-denial about ?’

Acting in the best interest of self is deeply human. Seeking mutually beneficial relationships is selfish. Living a great life and helping others live a great life around you is SELFISH. Making my life better is selfish. Imperative to operate this way. Otherwise it's a lie.

A problem with this analysis - and the general premise of Randian self-interest - is that the “self” is temporal only in the present moment and is created only through the illusion of the ego and is thus incapable of perceiving “selfishness” as such a community of beings.
