Well, this just says the same thing. Darwin does not say that one person evolve, but the collective of a group, where they find the same common enemy and evolve to take care of that threat, the world is full of species that inforce this evolution.

You should look into the concept of the 군자/gunja in Korea. It seems Korean dramas often use this kind of character as the male lead. Admiration of competence and generosity right there.

As a South Korean I'm pleasantly surprised to see the Korean word 군자 is brought up in this thread, even though you, a middle-aged western white man, don't look like the kind of person who would be into K-dramas
