DISCLAIMERS: professors should require students to sign disclaimers acknowledging that they may be exposed to offensive speech in class (and assignments) and will make not complaint about that. That is how adults handle this kind of assumption of the risk sitch.

Isn't the issue that in North America liberal means socialist, because no US citizen could openly claim to be socialist because of the persecution in previous decades. Therefore liberal doesn't mean from the liberal tradition or believing in liberal values...

The universal perspective - when the voices veer extreme right the liberals arise to balance the system. So don’t veer too extremely to the right. Then the liberal left won’t be duty bound activated to restore balance. Success Centre Right.

We need to get away from the divisiveness of words like 'liberal' 'socialist' etc because they are used as a stick to beat people with. We're all different but can agree on commonalities. We all have a moral core. We don't need labels. Stop poking the hornet's nest JP.
