Right or Left, Conservative or Liberal, reactionary ir progressive, EVERY government in Canada, the US, most of the rest of the world, turned away from nuclear long ago. Was it a mistake?

The problem with attacking this from a right-wing view is that what's been needed with nuclear and renewable energy is massive public investment in R&D, yet Reaganism and Neoliberalism aim to gut public investment (except to bail out speculators and prop up failed companies).

Along those lines, I’ve often wondered why some innovative Canadian engineer has not used their stellar engineering and economic mind to design, develop, and market a Canadian-made automobile. Why are there no Canadian cars? Nowadays—>electric cars.

Here in Australia we have one of the biggest uranium deposits in the world,we'll happily sell the stuff to anybody. We will never have nukeular anything bloody frustrating. Currently investing 50,000,000 in a French diesel electric sub we won't see for 30yrs . Hmmm
