I know you'll not see this, I'm lucky if we ever speak and you hear of my story: I'm terrified of last treatment option, getting pain pump implant at C1 level to treat severe corneal neuralgia after LASIK eye surgery; terrified of potential complications, terrified of suicide.

Too much constant disruption/executive dysfunction and immense stress from the chronic, severe eye pain otherwise. The failing is out of my hands, can't heal eye pain yet, and eye pain causes too severe executive dysfunction to self-direct to improve myself or my life; truly.

I’m afraid of failure due to my circumstances. Doing my very best, controlling what I can, putting in all the hard work I can… only for it to result in failure. My coping becomes “avoidance” and “procrastination”… I’m working on it, getting better at it!
