Exactly. While affluent students do have more access to test prep services, standardized testing is still the most objective educational assessment, and gives underprivileged students a chance to prove themselves. Many countries like India, Japan, Iran, etc. rely on it entirely.

But the whole point is that those who criticise these assessments is that they want more biased methods. They’re against merit, not just the assessment of it.
