As far as i know, Marx did recognice the benefits of a free market capitalist system, he just had the hubris to think we could replace this system at it's core with something "better" once suffient wealth and progress was created. And that's where it all falls apart...

Entirely agree, the problem with Critical Social Justice is they won't debate! The try to shout down and ruin people....they need to be forced to defend their position. How best do we accomplish that?

Hear hear. Does it come down to smart vs dumb twitter? The platform itself doesn't always facilitate smart discussion. And shit-disturbers abound. But we've always had stocks & stakes. For blasphemers, oglers of burghermeisters' wives, seers, witches, converts, complainers et al.

Someone should investigate the level of teaching and and standards of critical analysis of students in humanities subjects like Gender Queer and Media Studies. If the tutors and students and texts already agree doggedly, where is the critical analysis?
