If more teachers speak out, change can take place. At least, I can dare to hope this will happen.

My guess is there's a huge divide in teaching staff with those over or under millennial age. I can't imagine somebody's who's been teaching for 15+ years is okay with their craft being completely upended for social and political messaging.

That essay was beautifully written. It's incredibly sad when patriotic Americans, who only want 2 do the right thing 4 their children, become confused as to what even is racist. "A colorblind ideology, treat everyone with respect, a belief in meritocracy." This is the new racism?

Man that is a slippery slope - really hope universities and such in the US realise that the path they are on (while started with good intentions) sooo easily could lead to way more damage than good.. Sure some would say that is already the case too

Regardless of where you stand on any issue, why would it surprise you to learn that an employee has been disciplined for penning a public criticism of his employers legal business practices? The guy is lucky to not be fired.

Pretty generous use of the word whistleblowing.
