Had a student the other day look at me and tell me once she’s able to handle her own hallucinations that she wants to help others. I looked at her and told her to hold to that because some people never get that helping others with what we’ve conquered in ourselves is our mission.

Honestly speaking... I will never ever forget that story. It's such an example of the meaning of the statement: 'carry your cross'. Basically meaning that no one is exempt from judgement, when they have the smallest ounce of opportunity to do good. Her story is an inspiration.

I just wanna say, very few things make me teary eyed but your interview with Joe Rogan where you tell the story of a troubled woman who used to goto psychiatrist facility to help other patients worse off than her, that literally made me cry.
