I have a twelve year old stepson who's not been behaving ideally. Would this book be too advanced for him and if so do you have an alternate recommendation for someone his age?

Just got "12 rules for life" by @jordanbpeterson and read the first rule. At first studying behaviours of lobsters was kinda awkward.
