Dr Jordan B Peterson Retweeted Beef Brewskie: Stout Season is Upon Us

Right. But that's comparatively uncommon, compared to the involvement of men married to the mother of their children. And "comparatively uncommon" is what counts in a discussion of desirable social norms, not honorable exceptions.https://twitter.com/svartsven/status/1375689275086360584 …

A father that's not married to the mother can still be involved in the child's life.

Well said, and my children, the product of a father and mother household, will have a statistical advantage over the child who depends on the father being voluntarily involved. I make no apologies for this, it’s just the way the world is.

I would say at least in a serious relationship would be a big improvement in a lot of cases

ouch. that's a naturalistic fallacy. something being 'the norm' does not mean that it is desirable.

Exactly. I’ve never been away from my children for one single day of their life. I hope to keep it that way. The definition of “Involvement” is subjective. But more involvement is undeniably better

what counts in "in a discussion of desirable social norms" is appeasing the arbitrary judgment of moral scolding from social conservatives, we know.

There's no 'judgment' involved in what he's saying. He's stating a fact which, in judging to be offensive to your sensibilities, you then scold him for.
